Pre-brownstone era 4-story townhouse in Clinton Hill built in 1862. Includes a front porch, large backyard with garden, and a 5-foot-wide pathway on the side of the house to make load-in/load-out easy.
Garden level features modern kitchen designed by Annabelle Selldorf, with black stone floors (radiant heat), large marble island, Lacanche range, seating areas, and a 5’x9′ picture window, with glass French doors to the backyard. Powder room also on basement level.
Parlor floor level is airy and open, with floor-to-ceiling windows in the front that open to the porch and a working fireplace with historic marble mantle. The rear half of the parlor floor is used as an art studio (not shown; off limits unless special clearance from owner).
Third floor features a large living room with working fireplace and marble mantle, window seats; a bedroom; and a full bathroom, recently renovated with all black tile, soapstone, and unlacquered brass fixtures.
Fourth floor has two large children’s bedrooms (one with cathedral ceiling and a loft bed), one small bedroom, laundry room and full bathroom.
Restrictions:
Requests to paint or nail into walls must be approved in advance by owner. Walls must be restored to original condition.
